About Eric

Originally born in Mankato Minnesota, Eric Steele grew up in a family that loved the outdoors and exploring nature. Eric first explored photography in middle school while working with a video photography filming theater performances. He volunteered to help in his middle schools media hub; he worked with two technology professionals from who he learned a lot from and was inspired to learn more. It was in 6th grade that Eric decided he wanted a digital camera; it was just an average starter digital camera. He soon outgrew that camera so, his parents gifted him a Cannon EOS Digital Rebel. While the Cannon EOS Digital Rebel could do more than his previous camera, he purchased a Cannon 40D to further his talent.

He started to explore photography with a deeper meaning. Eric started taking more advanced photos in his junior year of high school. He was asked to take senior pictures for fellow classmates. Eric also enjoyed capturing the beauty behind flowers; he was often out taking pictures at a local community garden in his hometown. Eric took his love for photography and exposed himself to as much as he possibly could.

Eric feels his photography is very “real”. He loves genuine moments, and strives to capture the unique, loving and fun personalities of his clients. His style favors simplicity -  clean lines, crisp vibrant colors, and natural elements. He avoids heavy or trendy editing effects, and instead creates classic images that will withstand the test of time. He loves that photography allows him to create pieces of art while simultaneously telling a story.
